A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: A Century Before Game of Thrones

Based on George R.R. Martin's Novellas

HBO has announced a new prequel series to the hit show Game of Thrones, titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The series will take place a century before the events of the original show and will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg as they travel through Westeros during the reign of the Targaryen dynasty.

The series will be based on the novellas The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight by George R.R. Martin. These novellas have previously been collected in the book A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

The series is set to premiere on HBO Max, the newly-combined streaming service that will launch in May 2020. No release date has been announced yet.
